September 13

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:10–11

Christ Is Your Armour

God does not expect you to be strong by yourself. Jesus is your strength and your complete armour.
When you believed in Jesus, you were joined to Him. This means you have received His strength and everything you need to stand strong against fear, lies, and wrong thoughts.
But you must remember this and everything else you have received in Christ. You do this by reading God’s Word, listening to it, saying it, and thinking about it often.
Meditating on the Word is like keeping a seed in the ground until it grows.
As you keep God’s Word in your heart, it becomes real to you and begins to guard your thoughts and words.
