October 4
Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.
Proverbs 4:23 (CEV)

Guard Your Thoughts
Jesus was never worried or confused. He knew His purpose, so He stayed calm and focused.
You too can learn to live like this, and God’s Spirit in you will teach you how.
Think of your mind like a gate. You do not have to let every thought come in and stay. When a fearful, angry, or confusing thought comes, check it with God’s Word.
Taking breaks to pray in the Spirit during the day also helps you feel refreshed and keeps your mind focused on God.
Do not allow information to rush into your mind unchecked. Guard your heart, one thought at a time, one day at a time.
Read Your Bible.
Isaiah 28:10-12. Colossians 3:15. Philippians 4:6-9

Speak the Word!
“I guard my mind by checking every thought with God’s Word.“
