September 11

When you go to war against your enemies and observe more horses, chariots, and soldiers than you have, don’t be afraid of them, for the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt is with you.
Deuteronomy 20:1 (ISV)

Stop Fear with God’s Word

Sometimes a scary thought may come into your mind. It may say, “You cannot do it,” or “Something bad will happen.”
Do not keep quiet and listen to fear. Stop that thought by speaking God’s Word.
Say, “The Lord is with me. I will not be afraid.” You can also say, “God is my shield and my defender.” or “The greater One lives in me.”
God’s Word is stronger than every fearful thought. The more you say what God has spoken, the less room there is for fear in your mind.
So do not focus on what looks big or difficult. Always remember that the greater One, who is God, lives in you.
